Wrap Skirt. Pattern Drafting
Making a wrap skirt based on a straight skirt is very simple. See how to draft a skirt base here.

First, you need to decide if it will be a straight or flared skirt. Adjust the side lines. The dashed line shows the flared skirt, meaning the pattern pieces overlap.

We do not touch the back piece; it remains as is. From point T, measure the length of segment TB3 to the left and mark point T4.

Through points T4N1, draw a beautiful curve. The final look of the garment will depend on the shape of this curve. Now you need to transfer the dart. To do this, from point T4, measure a segment equal to B8B3 and mark point T5. From there, draw a perpendicular line downwards equal to the depth of the front dart. Measure the width of the dart on both sides of point T5.

The segment T4T does not necessarily have to be equal to the length of segment TB3. It can be shorter or longer. The final look of the garment will depend on this. Thanks to such a simple adjustment, you can get various models that will look different on the figure. When sewing such a skirt, both front pieces can be sewn into the waistband, or the skirt can be finished with a facing, and one of the front pieces, which will be on top, can be secured with a belt, strap, or button.

It is better to line such skirts. The lining is cut using the same pattern; you just need to adjust the seam allowance width when cutting.
