Transforming a basic black skirt into a festive one
Getting ready for a party but don't have time to shop for a new outfit? Here is a way to transform a black skirt into a festive one. You don't need advanced sewing or pattern-making skills; we will use leftover lace, trim, and beads from your stash. A few evenings, and your new embellished skirt is ready for a night out!

## Workflow
## Step 1
Rip open the side seams from the bottom up to about the hip line. Gather fabric scraps with lurex, silk, lace, and trim. Pin them to the base and sew them on using a crazy quilt technique (without following any specific order).

## Step 2
Gradually fill the entire area, trying to place fabrics with different textures or shades next to each other. Velvet and satin scraps look gorgeous, as their color changes depending on how the light hits them.

## Step 3
Once the front panel of the skirt is decorated, proceed to the final embellishments. Hand-stitch scraps of shiny trim and lace, and add a few small beads to further secure the decor.

## Step 4
Sew the side seams back together and try it on. Trim any excess fabric at the bottom and hem the skirt. Your festive skirt is ready!

That's what it means to be an experienced and imaginative master! That thought never crossed my mind, but it happens that after a party you might "get" a stain somewhere and that's it, you might as well throw the skirt away! But this way, you can hide it and create a new item without any expenses!
