Making a custom dress form easily and cheaply

I bet it's not always easy for a crafter to sew clothes for themselves quickly (it's hard to pin tricky areas, and you need someone else's help for fittings). Buying a custom dress form is expensive, and family members run away at the phrase "come help me." Creating this dress form will take no more than 3 hours, and the materials can be bought at any hardware store. And, of course, ask your favorite man to help you one more time!

Preparing materials:

• duct tape (multi-colored is better so you can see where gaps remain);
• a plastic pipe of any diameter (this will serve as the structure's support);
• expanding foam;
• a piece of board for the base or a few beams to make a cross-stand.

Start by wrapping yourself in tape. Remember that it's best to wear clothes you don't mind ruining, as we will be cutting them later. Tip! If you don't have a very large bust, it's better to wear a couple of bras, because wrapping your body in tape will slightly compress your chest volume.

Cut the resulting tape cocoon along the back, including the t-shirt underneath. Take it off. Seal the cut area on the dress form blank with several layers of tape.

Fill the blank with expanding foam and insert a plastic pipe (or metal if you don't have plastic) in the center. Let it set, then mount the dress form onto the base. Cover it with soft fabric, and you're ready to start sewing clothes for yourself!
