Banana Pants Sewing Pattern: Help Needed for Summer Trousers

Paris Haute Couture Week is happening right now. The Armani collection features many banana-style trousers. Remember wearing these about 35 years ago?

They are the perfect option for summer. Though those elastic cuffs at the bottom... well, that can be tweaked. Otherwise, everything is great – they aren't hot and don't pinch anywhere. You could choose a less vibrant color, of course. Anyway, I'm thinking about making some... I need help with a pattern!

Для лета - идеальный вариант. Правда, эти резиночки внизу... Ну то такое, можно чуть переделать. А, в остальном все супер – не жарко, не жмет нигде. Цвет, конечно, можно не такой ядовитый выбрать.
В общем, я задумалась... Прошу помощи с выкройкой!

Oh, thank you so much! It seems simple enough to model, but it's somehow more reliable with a pattern. And do we not make pleats on the back legs? Or does it depend on the shape of the glutes?😉 Whoever needs the extra volume can add it? Although I would add a little bit for everyone. The style will be more harmonious that way.

That's up to you. 🙂 Honestly, I've only seen them without pleats, but you can always get creative. 😉

Just keep in mind that these pants really add volume to the hip area. Especially if you are short or a bit curvy.

First of all, ankle-length pants have been in style for at least three years now. Especially with cuffs. Some people even wear them in winter, I've seen it myself))

I see this every day and every time I get goosebumps from empathy 😄 No fashion trend will make me wear a coat and sneakers with exposed ankles in winter. I already know where the narrowest part of my legs is without having to show it to the whole world 🤭
I love banana pants too; I bought myself linen ones last season without even knowing they were trendy. I'll be a goddess in the summer )))
