How to work with loop yarn without needles or a crochet hook
Fluffy and soft Alize Puffy yarn is interesting and unusual. But many crafters, especially beginners, have difficulties working with such yarn. It turns out that you can work with this yarn without any knitting tools, and the result will be just as good as knitting with needles or a crochet hook.

To make it easier, I will show you how to knit with this yarn by hand using a small piece as an example. Alize yarn consists of identical loops. To knit, for example, a small baby blanket, we need to count out 50 loops. This is approximately 1 meter.

I will show the knitting principle using 10 loops. So, count out 10 loops and pull the next one, the 11th, through the previous 10th loop.

Pull the 12th loop through the 9th, and so on until the end of the row. Once we reach the end of the row, turn your work and continue knitting just like in the first row.

The first knitted rows look like this.

Of course, when knitting any project, a skein of yarn may run out. Alize loop yarn needs to be joined in a special way. Cut the last loop of the remaining skein and the first loop of the new one. Tie the ends together with a strong knot so that the adjacent loops are as close to each other as possible. Trim the excess yarn tails and continue knitting.
When you have reached the desired length, start binding off the loops. To do this, pull each loop of the row through the adjacent one and repeat this procedure until the last loop. Cut the remaining open loop and pull it through the adjacent bound-off loops a few times.

I adore Puffy yarn. I knitted a snood for myself out of it. You'd think it's 100% synthetic! But no, it actually keeps you quite warm!
By the way, we have a pattern on the forum for the cutest hat-snood with ears knitted from this yarn: (/ru/learning/shapka-snud-myshonok-dlya-devochki-kryuchkom) 🙂
