How to Make a Chanel-Style Accessory in 5 Minutes
If you dream of a stylish, designer-brand accessory, you definitely don't need to run around boutiques and wait for a huge sale to buy the piece you love. Many designer accessories can be made yourself at home if you have some simple, easy-to-find tools and materials. I'd been eyeing a Chanel-style hair accessory for a while myself, and decided to recreate it at home — here's what I came up with.

To make this accessory, you'll need:
- a medium-sized pearl;
- a small bead;
- a hair elastic;
- a bead cap;
- a headpin-style finding (it's best to use a longer one);
- a small square rhinestone;
- super glue;
- round-nose pliers.
Thread the bead cap, the bead, and the hair elastic onto the headpin.
Bend the free end of the headpin into a small loop with the round-nose pliers. To keep the elastic from tearing on the sharp end of the headpin, you can thread on a tiny bead first. If you don't have one, just bend the loop into a plain ring shape.
Coat the back of the rhinestone with glue and stick it onto the bead cap.
Wait a little for the glue to set, and our accessory is ready!
