Crochet "Coral" Necklace: How to Make Jewelry in Half an Hour
Coral jewelry never goes out of style and looks great on women of any age. If you love their intricate shapes and vibrant shades, you can crochet a "coral" necklace yourself in just half an hour.
The color, density of the "branches," and shape will depend on your preference and imagination. I suggest using an idea that every crafter can implement in her own way.
## What You Will Need
- 2 skeins of thread, preferably cotton or viscose. You can also use other lint-free yarn. For this sample, we will need blue and red thread, but you can crochet the pendant in a single color.
- A flat button in a matching color for the clasp.
- Crochet hook size 2.5-3 mm.
## How to Crochet
Using the red thread, chain a series of stitches to the desired length of the necklace. At the end of the chain, make a loop sized to fit your button. Use stitch markers to mark the section of the cord where the "corals" will be attached.
Introduce the blue thread, starting from the right marker.
Crochet the "branches." Work single crochet stitches into the first 2 chain stitches, then crochet a chain of 7-12 stitches (vary the number for each new "branch" to give the necklace a natural look). On the new chain, crochet smaller branches of 3-7 stitches, working back with single crochet stitches.
Fill the entire space between the markers in this way. Cut and fasten off the blue thread, then sew on the button for the clasp. Your "coral" necklace is ready.
It's a bit of a stretch to call this piece a necklace ))
The weaving itself is super, but perhaps the materials weren't chosen very well: it looks very childish.
