Sewing a Nursing Pillow: Archive Pattern and Safety Notes
This archived sewing note is inspiration for a U-shaped nursing pillow, not a medical recommendation or a tested infant product. A pillow may provide feeding support only while both caregiver and baby are awake and the caregiver is actively supervising.

Important limits
Do not use this pillow as a mattress, activity mat, sleep, positioning, or unsupervised support product. If a baby becomes drowsy or falls asleep during feeding, move them to their own firm, flat sleep surface. The pictured poses are not safety instructions.

Archive pattern
The pattern below was found online and adapted by the original author. It is an unverified archive reference, not a graded pattern or sizing guide; do not scale it as a safety recommendation.

Use durable fabric and secure seams, and inspect the pillow before every use. Keep filling fully enclosed. Loose foam beads and accessible zippers or other closures can create choking or filling-escape hazards, so they are not suitable where an infant can reach them. Remove the pillow from use if seams, fabric, or filling are damaged.
