Lengthening a Dress with Lace — A Trendy DIY Update
Combining fabric with lace always looks stylish. It is currently one of the hottest trends.

If you have a cotton or blend dress, you can turn it into a very stylish, modern outfit in just an hour. To do this, buy lace with a finished scalloped edge. Determine the size based on your preference and the length of the dress hem. A lace hem about 35-40 cm high looks beautiful.

Carefully unpick the side seams of the dress. Pin or baste the lace strips along the bottom edge of the front and back, overlapping the fabric by 5-6 cm.

Try it on, and if everything looks great, stitch the lace using a zigzag stitch. Now baste the side seams of the dress (or pin them). Sew with a machine stitch.

Remove the basting threads and press. You're done!

To me, it looks strange... Especially in the case of the black dress - it's very noticeable that the lace has a life of its own))
