Stretched-out neckline? 2 simple ways to fix it
Knitted garments can stretch out and lose their shape at the neckline over time. While you can fix this on a handmade sweater by knitting a new trim, factory-made pullovers or t-shirts often end up in the trash. To avoid throwing away your favorite item, you need to know how to restore a stretched neckline. I suggest using 2 proven methods that don't require a sewing machine or special skills.
Method 1

If the neckline of a knitted pullover has lost its shape, let's try updating it with a new collar. Cut a high collar off a turtleneck that is similar in color.

Sew it to the sweater using a chain stitch.

After finishing the seam, unravel the loops to create an invisible, elastic seam. The pullover will look fresh and neat.

Method 2
Fixing a stretched-out t-shirt.

If your favorite item's neckline has become too wide and deep after washing or long-term wear, you can take it in by a few centimeters by working on the shoulder seams.

Sew a seam and pull the thread to reduce the depth of the neckline.

This method allows you to keep the original factory neckline finish while restoring its shape.

Cool )) It's not very relevant for me regarding t-shirts, since usually everything that can possibly stretch in them does (the quality is so bad these days, it's a disaster), only taking them in on all sides would save them )) But for a jumper, the idea is super! Thanks!
