Soft crochet hooks and glowing knitting needles
I don't really like knitting, I'm more interested in making small things with a crochet hook. But I often faced a problem: after long sessions of crocheting, calluses would appear on my index finger. It's a terrible feeling that makes doing anything else problematic. To cope with this problem, my mom recommended using a rubber grip from an ordinary pen! You can see how it looks now in the photo.
A soft crochet hook is comfortable and easy to hold. If the pen grip is too big, use a stationery band or soft yarn instead.

My mom uses this interesting idea. She can knit at any time of the day while watching a movie (without even looking at her work), but in the dark, when she needs to check a row, she has to use her phone's flashlight, which is very inconvenient. So, we ordered a very unusual gadget on AliExpress - glowing knitting needles! It looks interesting, as if you are knitting with lightsabers, and most importantly, it's effective.
The only downside is that they are difficult to choose, as they all have a thickening at the bottom. Sometimes it takes up half the needle, and sometimes just the edge. So, before buying, check the seller's reviews and clarify all the details.
They shine brightly with a steady, even light, illuminating your hands and the yarn. My mom hasn't had any problems and hasn't felt any fatigue, but if you have vision issues or your eyes are already tired in the evening, it's better to knit with at least a lamp on.
