How to crochet an Easter basket
This basket looks modest and unique. It can hold an Easter bread and 6 colored eggs.
## Materials needed:
- yarn in two colors;
- crochet hook suitable for the yarn weight;
- 6 decorative beads.
## Crochet instructions:
Row 1. Into a magic ring, work 2 turning ch, 2 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc, and repeat six times.
Row 2. 2 ch, 3 dc, 2 ch, 5 dc, 2 ch, 5 dc, and repeat six times.
Row 3 and subsequent rows. Increase by two dc, keeping the number of ch between them unchanged (= 2 ch).
Then, using a contrasting yarn, work a border on the right side at a diameter of 14 cm.
Note that the number of stitches in this row must equal the number of stitches on the main piece.
Next, work the sides upward by crocheting stitches into the V-spaces.
Finish off the work with slip stitches or another method you prefer.
Join the main piece to the vertical cylinder along the six sides of the polygon. Decorate the joining points with beads.
Crochet the handle for the basket using turning rows and sew it on neatly.
I would sew the handle on one side and attach it with a button on the other. It's more convenient for inserting/removing the Paska. You unbutton it, take it out, without having to thread it under the handle. It won't add much complexity to the making, but the convenience will be significant.
