How to make a festive Christmas wreath from leftover ornaments
I hope I'm not the only one who suffers from Christmas ornament shopaholism. 🙂 Anyway, I've accumulated several old sets of plain supermarket baubles from back when my husband and I were just settling into our new apartment and bought whatever we could find "for now." Now, I feel bad throwing them away, but I rarely hang them on the tree... I decided to put them to good use – let's make a Christmas wreath! 😉

## Prepare the following for the project:
- a very thin (this is important!) wire clothes hanger;
- pliers (preferably paired with a strong pair of hands);
- ornaments;
- a hot glue gun;
- decorations – artificial or natural spruce branches, pinecones, berries;
- wide satin ribbons in a matching color;
- sharp scissors.
Instructions

To start, unfold the wire hanger as shown in the photo – untwist the wire ends by holding one edge with pliers, and shape it into a circle with your hands. To get a perfect circle, you can place it over a bucket and adjust it. By the way, you can simply use thick wire instead of a hanger and shape it into the desired form right away.
Now, select your best Christmas ornaments.
## Good combinations include:
- gold with red, green, purple, or blue;
- silver with red or blue;
- a mix of matte and glossy, with or without glitter;
- ornaments of different diameters.
Glue the metal caps onto the ornaments so the glass or plastic part doesn't slip off while threading them. Let the glue set and start threading the ornaments onto the wire base (alternate sizes, textures, and colors). The more ornaments, the fuller and more festive the wreath!
Once you have threaded the desired number of ornaments, twist the wire ends together using pliers. Use the same tool to form a loop for hanging the wreath.
Decorate the top of the piece with satin bows, branches, and berries. Add golden bells and pinecones. Carefully secure all decorations with glue to the base.

You don't even have to go with a single color; you can use combinations of shades: for me, a win-win pair for Christmas is red and white – they immediately create a festive feeling 🥰
