How to decorate everyday home items for Halloween

Halloween is coming up on October 31st. To create the right atmosphere at home, you need to think about the decor. And you don't have to spend a lot of money to do it.

Creativity and ingenuity, combined with a pair of skilled hands, will help you create unique and mystical items from the most ordinary objects. I suggest we share our ideas and finds!

For example, you can decorate a lamp with "scary" bats.

Cut the bats out of black paper. It's convenient to make a few templates of different sizes and shapes beforehand.

For decoration, it is better to use adhesive paper or attach regular paper with double-sided tape.

Glue the bats to the inside of the lampshade.

Or another option with bats is to "perch" them on branches.

It's simple: again, cut out the bats, color them, and draw eyes.

Prepare branches with interesting shapes. "Perch" the bats on the twigs.

For a greater effect, you can decorate the branches with thread or use old gauze to make a spiderweb. It will look even more atmospheric.

Or here is another lovely idea: spiders on water-filled balloons.

We will need white or beige balloons. You don't need to inflate them; it's better to pour a little water into them so they take on a teardrop shape.

Then take ready-made toy insects (you can buy them at a toy or fishing store)—spiders, flies, and other creepy things of that kind.

Glue the insects onto the balloons and hang the whole construction on a chandelier or window. Beautiful!

For the kids, you can make perfectly harmless ghost candies. Or rather, you can entrust the children to decorate such a wonder themselves.

Wrap regular lollipops in paper napkins, tie them with a ribbon or thread, and draw on them. Besides the candy, you will need a thick napkin (so the marker doesn't bleed), a ribbon, and a marker (you can use black nail polish instead).

The finished ghost candies can be placed in a vase or hung on strings.
