DIY Coral Branch
Making this unique decoration won't cost much. It doesn't take much time either, yet it looks very sophisticated.
## What we need:
- a regular tree or shrub branch, preferably with nice branching;
- red candles;
- a container for melting the candles.
## Instructions
First, prepare your workspace. You need to cover the table with a plastic sheet (use one you don't mind ruining, as melted wax will drip on it). Place a heat-resistant mat under the container with the melted wax.
Clean the branch of any dust. If there are areas with peeling bark, remove them.
Now the magic begins. First, melt the candles using a water bath.
Then, use a spoon to scoop up the melted wax and pour it over the branch. Hold the sections you are working on over the bowl, rotating and moving the branch as needed.
If the wax in the bowl starts to harden, reheat it.
Continue until the entire branch is transformed. Wait for the wax to harden completely.
Place the finished decoration in a vase. You can put a few beautiful seashells at the bottom.
Gorgeous result! By the way, you don't necessarily have to find a branch that perfectly matches the shape of a coral. You can adjust the base beforehand: remove some twigs or "add" others, since all the joints will be hidden under the layer of wax anyway.
