DIY Owl Dreamcatcher: Decorative Wall Hanging
Bedroom decor can be eye-catching while still feeling light and calm. This owl-shaped dreamcatcher-style piece uses real feathers as a decorative wall hanging; it is not a way to protect or improve sleep.

You will need two plastic rings, narrow lace or trim, knitting yarn, round and oblong wooden beads, a crochet hook, a yarn needle, and a suitable craft adhesive.

Small beads, feathers, and cords can detach or become a hazard. Keep the work and finished hanging away from infants, young children, and pets. An adult should handle the needle and adhesive. Follow the adhesive label, let every joint cure fully, and secure the completed piece high on the wall, rather than over a cot, bed, or sleeping area.
How to make an owl wall hanging
Wrap each ring closely with lace trim and secure the end with adhesive.

Use a needle to weave a mesh across the space inside each future eye. Secure a black or coloured bead in the centre.

Join the two rings with yarn. Thread an oblong bead onto the yarn and fasten it with adhesive.

Attach small feathers as the owl’s ears and allow the adhesive to dry fully.

Cut eight 30 cm lengths of knitting yarn. Fold each in half and tie them to the rings at even intervals. Use a crochet hook to thread a round wooden bead onto each strand.

Apply adhesive to the tips of long feathers, insert them into the lower beads, and let them dry completely.

Trim the yarn ends on the back of the hanging.

Make a yarn hanging loop and use suitable wall hardware to secure the finished owl. Treat it as decoration, not a toy.

Coloured feathers can give the owl a more storybook-like look, but keep the same placement and safety checks.

@bussinka, if you choose semi-sheer lace, I think it will work beautifully. You can stretch it over the rings from the start or sew it onto the finished ones from the back.
