How to make roses from flower wrapping: using craft paper
It is very trendy nowadays to wrap bouquets in craft paper that mimics foreign newspapers or magazine pages. If you have such packaging lying around, you can safely use it to create interesting decor. If not, paper roses can easily be made from ordinary newspapers or even old books. The technique is very simple—we all used a similar method in school when cutting out snowflakes—but I really liked the result! You can assemble an original bouquet from these flowers or use them as decor for gift boxes.

## How to roll paper roses
For each flower, prepare 6 paper squares of the same size. To do this, fold the sheet diagonally, align the side lines, and trim the excess. Fold each square three times (like for a snowflake) and use scissors to cut off a small corner.

Cut a petal out of each piece as shown in the photo and unfold it. You will get a flower-shaped piece with a hole in the center.

Now for the "magic." Cut 1 petal from the first flower, 2 from the second, 3 from the third, and so on. The last one should have only 3 petals left.

Shape the flower. Use a thin pen or scissors to curl the edges of the petals outward.
## Start assembly.

Roll each flower into a cone, secure with hot glue, insert a smaller flower into the center, and continue until the last piece, which is rolled into a tube.

Let the flower sit for a while to dry completely. Now you can mount them on stems to create a unique arrangement.

Using the same principle, it is easy to make roses from crepe paper; they will look very realistic!

I don't actually make things out of paper that often, mostly just with the kids. But I can suggest a few ideas for "newspaper" decor. The simplest thing is to decorate a photo frame. It looks very unusual.
As I already mentioned, you can glue them onto an envelope with a greeting card or a gift box. Or, for example, decorate the house for the New Year holidays; it's not really relevant right now, but life doesn't stand still!
In the meantime, the flowers will look great in a vase-aquarium like this one.
