Crate Decor: Transforming into a Stylish Coat Rack
A simple open-frame wooden crate can be quickly and easily transformed into a super-stylish eco-friendly coat rack! A great option for those who love unique interior design solutions 👍

You can buy the crate at a woodworking shop (they can assemble it right in front of you using your chosen materials), or you can make it yourself—it's not difficult. All you need to do is mark and cut a board purchased from your local hardware store into 4 pieces: two 40 cm pieces and two 70 cm pieces.

Assemble the cut pieces into a frame: first secure them with wood glue, then with screws.

Now, find branches that are suitable in thickness for the height of your crate and trim them to size.

Install the branches inside the frame: fresh, sturdy pieces that won't break or crumble when drilled or screwed into are best. Countersink the screw heads into the frame and cover them with wood filler.

Further steps largely depend on your interior style: you can coat the crate with clear or tinted varnish, or use wood stain. The simplest option is to use any paint suitable for wood products. Once the wood filler is dry, sand the wood and start painting—apply one or two coats if the paint coverage isn't dense enough.

All that's left is to attach mounting hardware to the back of the rack—and you're ready to hang it on the wall! 😍

Don't worry about cracks and splinters )) Just take young, sufficiently flexible branches, not deadwood. They handle all the installation stages perfectly well, whether with screws or nails 👍
