Sew a stylish accessory from an old tie
If you have old, unwanted ties in your wardrobe, don't rush to throw them away. You can make an original accessory from them that can hold knitting supplies, pens, or pencils, or use it as a glasses case.

To make this accessory, cut off the long tail of the tie and remove the label.

Turn under the cut edge and stitch. Fold the tie in half, forming an open envelope.

Sew Velcro onto the base of the "envelope" and its top.

Decorate our tie accessory with an applique or lace, gluing the pieces with a hot glue gun. That's it, our stylish accessory is ready!

You can make an appliqué from the second tie! To keep the edges from fraying, fuse on some interfacing. Great idea! (y)
