Top useful software for crafters
A computer is an indispensable assistant, even in crafting. I have tried various programs and can recommend:
1. Software for seamstresses If you sew clothes, this program will significantly simplify any task. With its help, you can easily create your own or template patterns, both to scale and in full size, using your measurements. The downside is that you need to download it, and the free version doesn't have many ready-made templates. However, the cost is low, and the program is truly very useful. ## PatternsCAD
4. There is a program similar to the previous one, but free (it has paid features, but if you don't sew clothes professionally, you won't need them). Here, you can also build a pattern and edit it while working. ## RedCafe
7. If you are a professional crafter (or if this is your source of income), then this program is for you. A universal service suitable for any type of craft. Here you can calculate the cost of a finished piece, taking into account labor and material costs. You can track productivity and access a bunch of other useful features. The downside is the English language. However, it can be changed after installing the program. ## Craftybase
8. There are also useful tools for cross-stitchers and beadworkers. No more filling in grid squares in notebooks. Automatic counting, pattern creation, and other useful features are available in the Portable Mozaika 1.6.0 program.
I worked with the PatternsCAD program.
It's simple to use. And although downloading it is paid (even if not expensive), you can find it online already with a key (for free).
As for the functionality, it's impossible to describe everything. It has a lot of features for patterns; you can see how it will look in real life, where to sew, get recommendations, and much more. And if you don't know what to sew or are short on ideas, you can use template patterns by simply adjusting them to your required parameters.
By the way, pattern drafting is possible both as an example and specifically for printing according to set parameters.
