Upcycling Denim Scraps: What to Do with Fabric Strips and Seams?
For those who don't like throwing away old things, jeans offer endless possibilities for creating exclusive home decor. While scraps are often used for accessories and clothing, narrow strips and seams usually end up in the trash. Let's not be wasteful—here are 3 interesting ways to use them.
## Bag Handles
You can make an ordinary tote bag unique by adding braided handles. Take the cut-off strips (the seams from the pant legs) and pin them together at the base in groups of three.

Braid them, making sure to straighten each "strand" as you work.

Sew the ends together by hand to create a very durable handle that can support significant weight. Hot Pads

This is very simple. Take the seams cut from the jeans, roll them into a snail shape, and secure them with hot glue.

You can use this method to make not just coasters, but even rugs for your entryway if you have enough scraps.
## Picture and Painting Frames

Even the most boring frame will look brand new if you decorate it with "snails" made from denim strips of various diameters and thicknesses. You can varnish or paint the finished piece with acrylics, or add rhinestones, beads, and glitter.
