Sewing a small storage basket from old jeans

## How to sew a denim basket for small items
Step 1
Cut off the bottom part of a pant leg about 20 cm long. You will need to sew a seam along the cut edge.
## Step 2
Sew squares or strips together to create a piece that matches the size of the denim cutout. On both parts, mark 4 by 4 cm corners and cut them out.
## Step 3
Sew the cut corners on the lining and the main piece by aligning the side and bottom seams.
## Step 4
Place the lining and the outer piece right sides together (the colorful piece inside the denim one). Sew a straight stitch, but leave an opening of about 8-10 cm. Turn the finished basket inside out through this opening.
## Step 5
Sew a topstitch 2-3 mm from the top edge.
Now you just need to fold the lining down a few centimeters and fill it with useful little things. You can also make this item without a lining, but in that case, you should choose jeans made of thick fabric.
