Sewing a simple and comfortable fleece tracksuit

Surely each of us has at least one tracksuit in our wardrobe (either as a set or as separates). Today, the cost of such clothing is a bit steep, and the styles don't always please. This is especially true for Renaissance-era ladies. If you or your acquaintances have faced the problem of buying a tracksuit for curvy ladies, I am sharing a free pattern for sewing a fleece suit.

The women's tracksuit pattern is designed for sizes 52-54. If necessary, the pattern can be adjusted to your own measurements to fit the desired size.

Transfer the pattern to the fabric and cut it out. When cutting the pieces, it is important to remember that sewing such clothing requires larger seam allowances than other garments. For the sleeves and the bottom edge of the jacket, you need to leave 3-4 cm, for the top part of the sweatpants 6 cm, and 1 cm for the seams.

After cutting out the pieces, sew everything together. The pants can be made with or without pockets. The same applies to the jacket. For the top part of the garment, you can make either welt pockets or patch pockets.

After folding over the top part of the pants, you need to leave a small opening to insert the elastic band.

If you want to make the suit look like a factory-made one, you need to additionally cut out cuff and neckline pieces. For example, if the wrist circumference is 17 cm, then the cuff elastic should be 15 cm wide and 8 cm long. Fold the elastic in half and sew it to the sleeve or pant leg cuff. For the neckline, cut out a piece with the same width as the neckline circumference of the pattern, fold it in half, and sew it into the garment. For decoration, the collar can be complemented with a drawstring and a cord.
