Hello everyone! I want to sew lingerie from a fabric that is as eco-friendly as possible, but at the same time stretchy and form-fitting. Can you suggest which fabric would be best? I've attached a photo of an example.

Look for a blended fabric where you are satisfied with the ratio of elastane, base fibers, and polyester. Elastane provides a form-fitting shape, while polyester adds strength and durability. It's hard to give advice on base fibers: some love organic cotton for its natural feel, some prefer silk for its noble sheen, others like viscose for its versatility, or bamboo for its softness 😉
Thank you!) I was just told that the lingerie in my picture is made from polyamide threads, it's not handmade...
I partially agree: microfiber lingerie is good, but it's usually seamless, which is why it's valued by those with sensitive skin. You obviously can't sew something like that yourself; it's purely a factory-made option.
Lingerie made from supplex and cotton jersey turns out comfortable. But blended fabrics are, of course, more practical.
Thanks! And perhaps you know where there are factories that sew such lingerie? Everywhere I ask, they all say Italy, China, India, etc. But in Russia, I haven't yet found a manufacturer that can do this.
I have a lot of microfiber sports underwear. The one in your photo looks very similar ) I recommend it – it fits well, dries quickly, and is easy to care for 👍 If I were sewing my own underwear, I would use microfiber
