Plan the base
For a small round mirror, use the inner ring of an embroidery hoop. For a base wider than 25 cm, use a rigid wooden, plastic or metal support and cut the rope with extra length.
Choose a base and rope
Check the adhesive on a small area before beginning. It should hold the mirror securely without marking the front.
Prepare the frame
Cut the main rope into pieces about 45–50 cm long. Attach them evenly to the hoop and reinforce the place where the hanging loop will go.

Keep the future frame sections equally dense and reinforce the hanging point with extra wraps.
Knot and trim the fringe
Cover the edge with an even row of knots. Add a thin cord and optional beads between groups, then work square knots around the circle with even tension.

Brush out the ends, place the trimming template and cut the fringe around the circle only after the cords are fully opened.
Install the mirror
Close the back with a suitable round panel. Glue the mirror only after the frame is aligned and clean, using adhesive compatible with mirror backing.
Check the hanging
For a large mirror, use a separate metal loop rather than relying only on a rope loop. The cord can remain natural or be dyed first.
