How to make a festive napkin holder

New Year is coming soon, and every hostess wants to decorate the holiday table beautifully. While there is still time, I suggest making a napkin holder from a jar - simple decor will turn glassware into a luxurious "silver" piece.

## Making the base for the napkin holder

Look in your pantry for a jar from mushrooms or jam; one with textured walls is best, but a regular pint jar will work too.

Using a piece of sponge, cover the walls of the jar and the lid with a layer of silver acrylic paint. Don't forget to wear gloves to keep your hands clean!

## Creating the decor

In a small container, mix water and construction plaster or alabaster. Grease a small mold and pour in the plaster. Make 4 decorative pieces this way. Using "Moment" glue, attach the decor to the four sides of the jar.

Cover the elements and the napkin holder itself with a very small amount of white acrylic paint. Decorate the jar with pearl stickers or however your imagination suggests.

## Working with the lid

Using a ruler and a knife, cut a hole in the metal lid, sized so that it is easy to pull out the napkins.

Screw the lid onto the jar, which you have pre-filled with thin paper napkins, and place it on the table! A beautiful and functional napkin holder is ready!
