Knitting Doll Shoes: Bootie Slippers
Many moms knit and sew a wardrobe for their kids' dolls and favorite toys. To make it complete, you can knit bootie slippers for a doll. I've even made these for Barbie, decorating them with beads and rhinestones. The pattern is very simple, and even a six-year-old girl can manage the work with some help from an adult.

How to knit doll shoes
For this project you'll need 10 g of yarn and thin knitting needles. The smaller the doll's foot, the smaller the needle size and the thinner the yarn should be.
For the sole, cast on 6 stitches and knit 14 rows in garter stitch (knit every row, both right side and wrong side). Cut the yarn and secure it on the wrong side. For the top, cast on 25 stitches and knit 6 rows in garter stitch. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Join the top and bottom pieces as follows: lay the sole across the long strip and sew it on at the center.
Then fold the bootie into shape, following the photo.

IMPORTANT! For the right shoe, place the left piece over the right one; for the left shoe, do the opposite. Sew them together with an overcast seam.

You can leave the little shoes as they are, or decorate them however you like with beads, rhinestones, or even embroidery.
