We also used buttons, though for a dress, we only used white, matte-white, and vanilla-colored ones.
My God, how beautiful! I've added this dress to my wishlist 😍

Cute. I always wondered what to do with the buttons, of which there are just so many unpaired ones lying around. Thanks for the idea!!!

I love things like this. My daughter and I made similar items for various gifts (the photos aren't mine - for some reason it didn't occur to me to take pictures of my daughter with the finished craft). We also used buttons, though for a dress, we only used white, matte-white, and vanilla-colored ones. We glued them onto black fabric, and sewed the large buttons on with red thread for a bright pattern. Then we had them framed at a framing workshop. It turned out gorgeous, and the girl who received the dress as a gift was very happy. I think anyone would be happy with a fun, playful kitty )))
