Unusual Earrings from Ready-Made Lace
You can make wonderful earrings yourself. Don't judge harshly — it's a kind of "first attempt".🙂 Something like this could be made for a New Year's celebration.

So, stock up on lace scraps, seed beads or other small findings, and clear glue. Besides that, you'll need ready-made earring hooks (silver or gold-tone — choose to match your lace and beads).
Choose the size and shape of the earrings, taking into account the texture and pattern of the lace.
Make a paper pattern. Fold the lace in half and pin it, aligning the pattern precisely. Trace the pattern outline and cut out.
Prepare a stiffening solution. There are several options:
*starch (2 tbsp per 1 L) – dissolve in a small amount of cold water, slowly pour into hot water while stirring, let cool;
*gelatin (1 tsp per 1/2 cup of water) – dissolve, let swell for 1...2 hours, bring to a boil in the microwave or in a water bath;
*PVA glue (dilute 1:1 with water) – ready to use immediately.
Choose any method, but note that starch and PVA can leave a white residue on colored lace.
Stiffen the earrings, dry and iron them. Glue on the beads and attach the earring hooks. Enjoy wearing them!
