Halloween Dress. Need Help!
Hello, crafters! I have a difficult task ahead of me. 😳 My daughter wants to dress up as Piper (a game character) for Halloween. To give you an idea, here is the game character:
Sewing a whole dress is a problem for me, I haven't made patterns myself in a very long time. The idea is as follows: make the top out of a T-shirt, we'll figure out the belt, and for the bottom, sew a long skirt. I don't want to just make a piece of fabric on an elastic waistband, please suggest a simple style. Maybe a four-gore skirt? I'll be waiting for advice from the wise ones!

Шить целое платье для меня проблема, очень давно не делала самостоятельно выкроек. Идея состоит в следующем. Верх сделать из футболки, пояс тоже сообразим, а низ - сшить длинную юбку. Просто лоскут на резинке по талии не хочу делать, посоветуйте простой фасон. Может четырехклинку? Буду ждать совета от Василис Премудрых!
I think the main thing here is for the T-shirt and the skirt to be the same color. Honestly, I would recommend sewing a dress. With this style, you can trace the pattern from a nightgown with raglan sleeves. Or take that same T-shirt, trace it, and adjust it by increasing the length and making a flared skirt. And you can cut the collar out of any non-fraying fabric. You can also use that same fabric for the sleeve facings. I don't think it will take more time than sewing a skirt!Show full quoteCollapse
