How to easily and simply refresh suede shoes
Suede shoes look luxurious and stunning, but they require special care. If you haven't followed the rules (as I did, thinking it was unnecessary), your shoes will end up ruined, and you'll have to say goodbye to them or head to a repair shop. But I approached this problem creatively and tried to give my shoes a new life myself.
First, clean the surface of the shoes from dust, lint, and other dirt. You can use a regular kitchen sponge (make sure it's dry) for this. We will paint the shoes with acrylic paint.
It is important to work quickly and as neatly as possible, because acrylic absorbs into suede fabric very fast. Apply the paint to the shoes with a brush and let it dry. If necessary, you can apply several coats (it all depends on the desired color saturation), letting each one dry.
To make the shoes original and suitable for everyday wear, I decided to apply a pattern to the surface, which I found in a book of ornaments (you can also find such designs on the internet). Sketch the ornament using a regular gel pen, then trace over it with an acrylic liner. Don't try to draw 100% identical ornaments; the shoes will look harmonious from different angles anyway, and asymmetry is in fashion too😉.
To complete the "composition," I decided to decorate the front part of the shoes, where there are small areas (where small buckles used to be). After a long search for suitable decor, I decided to make a beaded brooch.
Glue the beautiful brooches onto the spots with super glue, and you're ready to wear your "brand new" shoes!
These ones specifically, no, but if there's a chance the shoes will come into contact with moisture, I advise covering them with a few thin layers of varnish, letting each one dry. That will be more reliable))
