Sewing an Owl Pillow as a Gift

My oldest daughter absolutely adores owls and tearfully begs to buy her a live one. But that's a bit pricey, and caring for a pet like that is quite tricky. So, to make sure an owl still found its way into our home, I decided to make her this little gift for under the tree—a soft owl pillow.

To sew this pillow, I needed:
• 3 shades of fleece;
• hollowfiber for stuffing;
• beads;
• sewing supplies.

I'm sharing the pattern with you.

Cut out all the pieces and detail the front of the owl. Lay out all the elements and stitch them together. Do the same with the wings.

I decided not to cut out the feet beforehand; I simply folded the fabric right sides together and stitched along the edge, leaving an opening to turn the piece right side out.

Step 7

To decorate our little owl (I decided she'd be a girl:giggle🙂, make small flowers.

Step 8

Stitch all the piece blanks and turn them right side out.

Step 9

Attach the eyes and beak. Decorate the owl with flowers.

Stuff the pillow with soft filling. And here is the finished pillow!
