Making Unique and Delicate Feather Flowers

A variety of decorations and decor elements can be used to adorn an interior. To add delicacy, lightness, and a touch of charm to a room, you can create unique feather flowers. Crafting this decor takes minimal time, and the result will delight everyone in the apartment or house, as well as their guests. Feather flowers can be made as hanging ornaments or on a stem, like a sweet flower you can display in a vase. To keep the project to 15-20 minutes, I recommend preparing all the necessary tools and materials in advance.

To make this, you will need:
• a foam ball;
• multicolored feathers (available at any craft store or stationery shop);
• sequin trim (you can also use loose sequins, but that will significantly increase working time);
• artificial stamens;
• a glue gun.

Make a small indentation in the foam ball using regular manicure scissors. Add a small drop of hot glue into the resulting opening and secure the decorative stamens. This will be the center of the flower.

Hot-glue the strung sequins around the foam ball, securing each row. Start gluing the sequins from the stamens and work toward the middle of the ball so that each subsequent row slightly overlaps the previous one.

Select feathers of approximately the same size (up to 10 pieces) and glue two of them around the circumference of the ball, immediately following the last row of sequins.

Glue the remaining feathers onto the ball, placing the stiff quills at the opposite center pole of the ball. The finished result should look like this.

Conceal the tips of the feathers. To do this, take a spare ornament cap from a Christmas tree ornament and glue it to the top of the piece. After that, you can thread a ribbon through the cap if you plan to use the flower as a hanging ornament, or glue on decorated wire if you want to display the flower in a vase.
