Choosing Yarn for a Men's Knit Set

I want to knit my husband a matching set for New Year (hat, scarf, sweater, socks).

But there are a few things to consider. The hat and scarf are for everyday wear, so the color needs to hold up after washing. The sweater is also for everyday wear, but it shouldn't be "bulky," or he won't wear it.
The socks need to be thin but warm, so they work both around the house and inside shoes.

Any advice on which yarn to use? Something that won't make the piece bulky, will keep it warm, and won't "wear out" after a few weeks?
I'd like something like this photo, all in one style.

Но есть несколько нюансов. Шапка и шарф - для повседневной носки, надо так, чтобы цвет не пропадал после стирки. Свитер - тоже для повседневной носки, но чтобы он не был "толстым", а то не будет носить.
Носки - тонкие, но теплые, чтобы и по дому ходить и в обувь можно было.

Подскажите, какие нитки лучше использовать? Чтобы изделие получилось не массивное, теплое и не "стиралось" через несколько недель?
Хочется что-то такое, как на фото, в одном стиле.

I don't think there'll be much difference. What I love about angora is the thermos effect: if it's warm outside, the hat won't feel hot, and vice versa. Marled yarn keeps you warm well too. My girls have transitional-season hats made from marled yarn (outer side) and acrylic (inner side). They wear them down to -2 to -5 degrees.

Interesting idea, but I always approach any project from a practical angle.

If he's wearing a sweater, most of the time he'll have a jacket, scarf, and hat on over it. So the sweater's color, knit, and yarn type — none of that matters, since it's not visible.
He walks into a building.. takes off the jacket, hat, and scarf... Now the color and knit of the hat/scarf lose their point too. They're not visible, and there's no question of matching them to the sweater anymore.

Socks are a whole separate story. Knit socks are best for around the house, camping trips, skiing. A man is unlikely to wear them to the office and take his shoes off there just so they match the sweater (remember, he's already taken off the hat and scarf).

So I'd suggest not overthinking having just one type of yarn — the color can be the same.. but pick different yarns, whatever suits each specific piece. IMHO.
