Striped Cardigan: Perfect for Beginners
If you have only recently learned to knit, don't rush into complex patterns. With autumn in full swing, I suggest knitting a cardigan with a very simple stitch. The pattern is also straightforward, and you will easily manage it; you just need to take your measurements and decide on the size.

## What You Will Need
100g of yarn in 6 colors: acrylic, wool blend, or soft medium-weight wool. Knitting needles size 3 - 3.5 mm.
## Pattern
I sketched the pattern by hand, and I think it's clear. The back is worked as a single piece, and the front consists of two panels without shaping the neckline. The top part of the panels is folded back. The sleeves have straight armholes of the desired depth. The photo shows 3/4 length sleeves, but you can make them full-length.

## Stitch Pattern
The cardigan is knitted in the Seed stitch: Row 1: K1, P1; Row 2: Switch the stitches (P1, K1). This stitch is also known as Moss stitch. Garter stitch—knitting every row—would also look great. Change the yarn color every 5 cm, which corresponds to the width of the stripe.
This cardigan can be worn without a closure; it is designed in an oversized style and looks equally good on slender figures and curvy ladies.

Do you think the side edge of the front panels will curl? Especially with garter stitch. :( Seed stitch would be more reliable after all. And another nuance with the color change. You won't be able to change the yarn in the same row number for the left and right panels. We'll end up on the right side of the center line. It won't look very nice. It's better to go one row lower or higher and change the color near the side seam.
