Knitted Quilt: Creating a Masterpiece from Yarn Scraps
A blanket made of individual elements is one of the best projects for using up small balls of yarn. How to knit a multicolored blanket **
As seen in the photo, the design is made of squares or rectangles. Each is knitted in stockinette stitch or with stripes of garter stitch using several yarn colors. The squares are sewn together so that vertically and horizontally knitted stripes are placed side by side (in a checkerboard pattern).
And now for the most interesting part!
Take your leftover colored yarn and a tapestry needle and embroider with decorative stitches: herringbone, stem stitch, or chevron stitch; roses and flowers look excellent.
The work is certainly meticulous, but if you take your time, you can create true beauty! Such a blanket is even suitable as a gift! You can also use this technique for knitted bags and even clothing—in short, there is huge scope for creativity!
