DIY Bright Spring Bird Brooch
Spring is rushing towards us, and we crave bright colors in everything: our clothes, shoes, mood, and small accessories like bracelets, pendants, and even brooches. There is a very interesting way to make a brooch that will surely appeal to beginners and those who have wanted to try making a brooch with their own hands many times but never quite got around to it.

## To make this brooch, you will need a minimal set of materials and tools:
- buttons of various sizes and colors;
- stiff felt;
- sewing supplies;
- brooch pin backing;
- glue gun.
Cut out your prepared bird drawing from paper and trace it onto a piece of stiff felt. For such a bright brooch, it is best to use felt in contrasting shades (black is best). This will make the elements placed on the brooch look even brighter and more interesting.

Cut out the base for the future brooch.

Glue the buttons onto the base using a hot glue gun. Glue the large buttons first, then fill in the remaining space with smaller buttons.

In places where you cannot fit a button, even the smallest one, glue on some beads.

Sew the pin backing onto the back of the brooch. Our bird brooch is ready!

By the way, yes! We don't have a strict curriculum in crafts class; any kind of handicraft is encouraged, and boys could make these birds too. Afterwards they can be used to decorate, for example, the classroom. One guy in our class carved a witch on a broom with a jigsaw for Halloween; it hung on the classroom door for a long time))) With your permission I'll share the link in the FB group.
