How to Make Original Packaging for a Small Souvenir
For New Year it’s customary to give small souvenirs and nice little treats. If you’ve already bought a gift but at the last minute remembered that there’s no suitable packaging for it, there’s no reason to be upset. From available materials and in one evening we can make a beautiful package for a small gift: you won’t find one like this in any souvenir shop!

So, to make an improvised box with decoration we will need:
- A tube from kitchen paper towels.
- Gold wrapping paper and patterned scrapbook paper.
- A plastic cap from a milk or juice bottle.
- Beads on thread, trim.
- Hot glue.
## Instructions
Cut a strip from the tube to the required length, apply hot glue to the surface and wrap it with a strip of "gold" paper. Slightly flatten the tube edges while the glue is still wet.

Trace 2 circles on colored paper 1.5 cm larger than the diameter of the cap. Glue the first to a heavier paper, the second to the milk cap. Glue a satin ribbon, lace or trim around the perimeter.

"Set" the top part of the little hat onto the circular base using hot glue.

Do the decor: embellish the little hat with beads on thread, glue on a bow, and on top glue a bead or a pretty button.

All that’s left is to hide the souvenir in the improvised packaging and glue the decorative cute little hat on top. Such a box is perfect for costume jewelry, perfume, lipstick and other nice little things that you can give to a friend, sister or coworker.

My younger daughter filled the box with chocolate dragees and gave it to her best friend )) Kids, they're so inventive!
