Creating a 3D picture from an old book
Surely each of us has old books at home that haven't made it to the recycling bin yet. Let's not throw them away in a hurry! Instead, I suggest making a 3D picture from a book to decorate your kitchen, hallway, or living room. This type of room decor can be done very inexpensively, especially if you already have an unused wooden or plastic frame.
## You will need:
1. An old book, one with a tattered or torn cover will work. Copies in a foreign language look great. 2. A decorative picture frame. 3. Cardboard, you can use a box. 4. Wrapping or craft paper. 5. White acrylic paint. 6. Acrylic varnish. 7. Hot glue.
## Making the picture
For the bottom of the frame, cut a rectangle out of a cardboard box and cover it with wrapping paper.
Cover the frame with two layers of white acrylic paint. Glue the bottom in place using hot glue.
## Working with the book
Leave 1/4 of the pages at the beginning and end of the book untouched. Style the central pages as follows:
Fold the bottom edge into a triangle.
Fold the side of the page vertically.
Do this with all the central pages. Cover the book with acrylic varnish.
Next, glue the book to the frame and decorate it as you wish. You can glue lace or trim to the protruding pages, add molding, or decorate the base with metal details, such as large keys or cutlery (for the kitchen).
Such a picture looks original and goes perfectly with white furniture in the Provence style.
Can I do this with the higher mathematics textbook that used to torture me so much before I got into university? 😄

And do you need to coat every page with acrylic varnish after folding? Or treat the whole structure at once somehow? :unsure:
