How to decorate a tote bag with embroidery: an interesting idea
A simple and plain tote bag can be turned into an original accessory by decorating it with embroidered patches. This work is not difficult, but rather creative, and will appeal to craft lovers. Such decor will add a special touch to a textile bag and give its owner a spring mood.

It is all about small "patches" that can be cut from old jeans or a shirt. Sewn on in a chaotic order and decorated with embroidered flowers, such elements create room for imagination and allow you to implement any ideas. In addition to flowers, it is easy to embroider inscriptions on them using threads at hand: embroidery floss, darning thread, or even regular sewing thread in 3 strands.

## Embroidering roses
On a scrap of denim or other thick fabric, draw a circle of the desired diameter with 5 rays converging in the center. Make regular stitches from the circumference to the center along the marked lines. When all 5 rays are embroidered, gradually fill the remaining space by inserting the needle with thread under the long stitches in a checkerboard pattern.

You can use thread in 2 shades so that the rose looks "alive".

## Embroidering violets
The work here is even simpler; even a primary school student can handle it. Draw flowers on the fabric and fill the petals with a regular satin stitch.

Mark the center with contrasting threads, and embroider the stems with a stem stitch or backstitch.

## Embroidering a bouquet of summer flowers
Mark small circles on the fabric and sew around them with a blanket stitch—using threads of different shades for each flower. Don't forget to embroider the stems and leaves.

## Decorating
All that remains is to pin your "patches" and sew them on by hand in a random order.

The tote bag with handmade appliqués is ready!

Good idea! I'll have to try sewing one for myself. I've already collected a lot of embroidered miniatures that I didn't know what to do with.
