Homemade Cider: Archive Note and Essential Safety Guidance
This is an archived overview of homemade cider, not a validated recipe. The original account does not establish sanitation, safe fermentation completion, alcohol strength, container suitability, or pressure control.
Do not use unwashed fruit, open fermentation, a vague timetable, repeated transfers, sediment, clarity, or raw egg white as evidence that a drink is safe or ready. Raw egg is not an appropriate readiness or clarification shortcut in this archive.

If you choose to make cider
Use a current, validated cider-making guide and suitable food-safe equipment. Active fermentation can create pressure, so do not seal it in a container that is not designed to release pressure. Follow applicable local rules.

Alcohol safety
Alcohol is for adults only. There is no known safe amount or time to drink alcohol during pregnancy. Do not drink if a medicine or medical condition may make alcohol unsafe, and never drive or use machinery after drinking.
The images are retained as an archive of the original post; they are not step-by-step instructions.

Why not simply pour alcohol over the apples?
