DIY Vitamin Shampoo: Archive Recipe and Safety Notes
This is an archived personal account, not a proven treatment for hair loss, dryness, breakage, or hair damage. New, heavy, persistent, or postpartum hair loss needs clinical advice rather than a homemade shampoo recipe.
Ingredients listed in the archived note
- additive-free baby shampoo
- 100 ml liquid panthenol
- 20 ml castor oil
- one ampoule each of vitamins B12, E, and A

Vitamin B12 is also called cyanocobalamin. Adding water-based, oil-based, or ampoule products to a ready-made shampoo can change its pH and preservative system. The resulting mixture is not a tested, stable, or safely preserved cosmetic product.

Important caution
This archive does not provide a dosage or treatment schedule. Do not rely on a homemade mixture to replace regular hair care or medical evaluation. Follow the labels for any product used, avoid use if the scalp is irritated, and seek a clinician's advice for concerning hair or scalp symptoms.

This is an interesting idea—I would never have thought of making something similar. [Editor's safety note: Do not treat this archived comment as a recommendation to mix medicines or vitamins into shampoo. A homemade mixture may be unstable or irritating, and it does not replace advice for hair-loss concerns.]
