How to sew a reversible bag

It's great to have a versatile bag in your wardrobe, for example, a reversible one: with a denim side and a colorful side. This accessory is easy to sew from fabric scraps. The difficulty level is medium; it requires patience and precision at every stage. I am very pleased with the result - a small yet spacious textile bag that pairs well with both jeans and romantic outfits.

Materials needed:

1. Old jeans for the lining and exterior.
2. Printed fabric.
3. A button or magnetic clasp.

## Bag pattern

Create it on a standard sheet of office paper.

## Cutting

Cut 4 pieces from old jeans and 4 from the lining fabric (you can also use jeans, but in a different shade). Next, cut off the top part of the pattern (the diamond shape) and cut 4 pieces from the printed fabric.

Also, cut several strips measuring 4 by 18 cm and the handles - two strips 50 by 6 cm (you can use webbing or ribbon for the handles).

## Sewing

Stitch one colored diamond onto the top of each of the 4 denim pieces.

Then, using the "log cabin" method, stitch the printed fabric strips one by one until they cover the entire base. Trim off any excess fabric.

Sew the 4 pieces together along the side lines and the bottom to create a "bucket" shape. Do the same for the lining.

Place the lining inside the top part of the bag, align, pin, and sew together, leaving one side open.

Make the handles from two strips of fabric. For durability, you can interface them. Turn the bag inside out and pin the handles from the inside. Sew them on in a cross pattern.

Topstitch along the top edge of the bag. Install a suitable clasp.

The reversible bag is ready.

You can also wear it turned inside out; it looks just as stylish and original.
