Soft Toys Made from Children's Socks

Step 1

My little ones have grown up, and I had lots of socks left in different colors and sizes. I hated to throw them away, and there was no one to give them to. I saw an idea on YouTube for making new soft toys from children's socks. Now I am sharing it with you.
Step-by-step instructions
Cut off part of the sock (below the heel) and stuff it with polyester fiberfill (you can use foam balls or special toy stuffing).

Shape the face. Make two indentations for the eyes, and pull a thread through the "chin" to make an elongated indentation. I bought eyes and a nose at a craft store; it looks prettier that way. I made the eyelashes with black thread (3 simple strands).

Now take the second sock and cut off a section, this time above the heel. Take the top section, sew it closed on one side, and make a hat.

Cut the heel from the remaining sock. Take another sock and cut off the same section as from the previous one. Sew them to the head, and you will have lovely ears.

Take another sock and sew along the lines as shown in the photo. Fill it with polyester fiberfill, and you will have a body with legs.

Take the remaining top section of the sock, cut it out, and sew along the lines. Fill it with polyester fiberfill as well to make the arms.

Now you can sew everything together, and your little bunny is ready.

Using the same principle, you can make different animals in different outfits. The socks do not have to match exactly.
You can also involve your little ones. Everyone will enjoy it.
