Sewing a Cheerful Felt Owl Plush Toy

Felt toys always turn out so adorable and truly magical. Both young children and serious adults always smile when they see toys like these. I want to share an idea for a simple owl toy that takes very little time to make, while bringing a huge amount of joy to your little one.

To sew this, we will need:

Pink, gray, brown, and white felt;
A scrap of fabric with a cute pattern (you will need it to decorate the owl's belly and wings);
Polyester batting or fiberfill (or cotton stuffing in a pinch);
Sewing supplies.

Cut each element out of paper individually and pin it to the felt and fabric, cut out the pieces, and only then remove the pattern templates.

Sew the fabric pieces to the felt as shown in the diagram. You can use a blanket stitch or a running stitch technique to attach them.

Sew each piece on step by step (you can refer to the diagram for guidance) so that the little owl turns out neat and cute.

Then the belly and the remaining parts of the eyes

Sew the brown patches onto the ears and join the front of the owl to the back. At this stage, you need to insert the wings into the side seams. When sewing the toy together, it is important to leave a small opening to stuff the project with soft filling, but do not pack it too tightly. If you overstuff it, the owl's face and seams will become distorted.
