Manicure Tool Case

Even if you don't have that many tools, they have a habit of getting lost 😀 That's why this tutorial is relevant for me, and maybe it will come in handy for someone else too 😉

The idea was inspired by thelovelydrawer.com—I don't entirely agree with closing the case with ties, but the concept itself is very cute and simple to make, so I'm sharing it )))

Gather the following materials: leather/faux leather, felt, cardboard, glue, and elastic band.

Cutting the pieces:
• felt – 23x18 cm
• leather/faux leather – 24x19 cm
• cardboard – 10x15 cm

Divide the felt piece in half with a double line of stitching—this will be the fold line. Arrange your tools on the right side in the order most convenient for you; use their placement to mark the future loops and comfortable spacing between them.

On this side, mark a piece of elastic band with loops of the required height: naturally, a loop for cuticle nippers, for instance, should be roomier than one for a nail file. Secure the loops with reinforced machine stitching—in a square and crosswise.

Place the leather/faux leather piece and the felt piece on top of each other (leather wrong side up) and sew around the perimeter, leaving the right side open—insert our cardboard piece into it to give the case shape.

Glue a cord or elastic ties to the cardboard—now this side can also be stitched closed. Turn the case right side up: you can decorate the outside however you like 😉 In this tutorial, the suggestion is simply to take contrasting nail polish or acrylic paint and add simple graphics to the case.
