How to Sew a Snowman from Socks or Tights

Today I want to show you how to sew two snowmen from simple materials in just half an hour! Depending on their size, they can serve as toys under the Christmas tree and beyond, or as Christmas tree ornaments.

Prepare these materials before starting:
• white tights;
• a white sock;
• striped socks;
• stuffing;
• rice;
• beads/seed beads;
• scissors;
• thread;
• needle.

Instructions
Cut off a small section of the tights at the calf. Tie a knot in one opening.
Then fill the piece with stuffing—I used holofiber—and add a little rice at the end to stabilize the toy. Sew the bottom of the piece closed securely. Check that it stands steadily.
Cut off the cuff section of a striped sock and tie the raw edge with thread to form a hat. Cut a scarf from the remaining sock fabric; do not finish the edges if they do not fray, as it will look cuter. 🙂
Put the hat on the body piece, knot side down. Mark the neck placement and tie it with a strip cut from the tights. Tie the scarf above it.
Now decorate the toy: sew on the eyes, nose, and buttons on the belly.
Done! You can sew a mini snowman from socks in exactly the same way. 🙂
