It is especially interesting when decorated with a monogram of the couple’s initials. Even beginners can embroider the small “window”; all you need is a piece of canvas and some bright or gold-colored thread.
Materials and tools
• Fabric for the front and back—choose the size you prefer; the pillow can be small or standard-sized. Choose red, pink, or heart-print fabric. • Piping or bias tape; you can also use narrow lace. • Contrasting or white companion fabric for the side panel. • An embroidered “window.” • Pillow stuffing.
Instructions
Place 2 main-fabric squares wrong sides together and transfer the template. The pattern is easy to make: a large heart with a small heart cut from its center. Remember to add seam allowances. Cut 2 pieces.

Place a piece of main fabric right side down over the center of one heart half and trace the small heart. Sew a straight line along the outline, cut it out, and clip the curves.

Turn the fabric to the wrong side, sew a topstitch and reinforcing stitch along the heart edge, and press it.
Next, pin the embroidered canvas to the inside of the pillow front so the monogram is centered in the “window.” Baste and stitch it in place, then trim away all excess fabric from the wrong side.
