How to Make Felt Tetris for Kids

It can be difficult to keep young children occupied, especially with activities that do not involve gadgets. During long breaks, it is worth making sure your little one is engaged in something useful without straining their eyes. But as the saying goes, genius lies in simplicity, so I suggest sewing a simple educational felt Tetris game. This toy has been popular for many years. Playing it develops logic, quick wit, and reflexes, so both little ones and adults will enjoy this activity.

To make the educational Tetris game, you will need:
• colorful felt;
• matching thread (embroidery floss or sewing thread);
• scissors, needle;
• paper, marker;
• Velcro.
The pattern for the Tetris pieces is very simple.

You can use this pattern or draw the pieces on a sheet of paper using your own dimensions; the main thing is that all the pieces can fit together on a single fabric base later on.
Trace the pieces onto a sheet of paper or a plastic template sheet, and cut out the pattern pieces.

For this educational toy, you will need to cut out two felt pieces for each shape.

Cut pieces of Velcro for our shapes (approximately 1.5-2 cm). Sew the Velcro onto only one half of each felt piece.
