Holiday Pinecone from Pumpkin Seeds

Step 1

These days, unusual pinecones on the Christmas tree rarely surprise anyone. But who says variety is a bad thing?
I suggest making a pinecone (or a cluster of pinecones) out of pumpkin seeds. Fortunately, we have plenty of them.

Step 2

For this craft, you need:
• pumpkin seeds;
• base – foam ball;
• dry gold glitter;
• PVA glue;
• hot glue gun;
• gold ribbon;
• paintbrush.

How to Make It
If you don't have a foam ball, you can crumple a sheet of newspaper and wrap it with twine. But if you have a ball, the task is much simpler.
First, glue the ribbon to it, forming a loop – see photo.

Step 3

On the opposite side, cut away some foam to create a small flat area, roughly 3 cm in diameter. Using a hot glue gun, glue the first circle of seeds with the pointed ends facing away from the center. Then glue the second, slightly overlapping the first.

Step 4

Continue this way until the entire surface is covered.

Step 5

You have to admit, it already looks beautiful.

Step 6

Now dilute PVA glue one-to-one with water and add the gold glitter.

Step 7

Mix until you get a smooth paste.

Step 8

Use a brush to apply the glitter to the seeds.

You can add a bow made from the same ribbon for a decorative touch.
If you make several of these pinecones and join them into a hanging cluster, you get an interesting holiday home decoration.
